PORT CLINTON, Ohio, March 1, 2024 — African Safari Wildlife Park is celebrating World Wildlife Day on March 3 by making a $600 contribution to three organizations dedicated to conserving wild animals around the world.
The following nonprofit organizations will receive $200 each:
The recipients were selected by Ashley Hamrick, Seth Hojnacki, Kelsey Keller, Makayla Kopriver, Sophie Nader, Brandon Ramsey, Dylan Shea, Danielle Tran and Elliot Zirulnik; a group of employees who make up the Park’s conservation committee and provide guidance on conservation programming.
The contributions came from Guardian of Wildlife, the Park’s 501(c)(3) organization that exists to promote and support wildlife conservation and is funded primarily by donations from Park guests. Since 2016, Guardian of Wildlife has gifted more than $28,000 to nonprofit organizations around the world. Donations to Guardians of Wildlife can be made at www.africansafariwildlifepark.com/donate.
“These contributions are the latest gifts in the Park’s long history of supporting conservation programs through Guardian of Wildlife,” said Park director Kelsey Keller. “We encourage everyone to learn more about these organizations and think about how to make a positive difference for wildlife through their everyday actions.”
