PORT CLINTON, Ohio, November 18, 2022 — Before sitting down for a Thanksgiving feast next week, animal lovers can visit African Safari Wildlife Park to watch bison, elk, alpacas, camels, zebras and more enjoy a feast of their own. This weekend, the Park is hosting its annual Pumpkin-Palooza, where gourds of all shapes and sizes will be fed to the animals.
Staff will distribute more than 50 pumpkins throughout the Park’s operating hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday. The pumpkins were generously donated by Walmart, Kroger, Lakeside Chautauqua and local families. The event is included with general Park admission.
“Pumpkin is one of the few foods that all of our animals can eat, and it’s a lot of fun for us humans to watch,” said Kelsey Keller, the Park’s director. “We look forward to this every year.”
