  • WHO:

    • Animal enthusiasts and Sloth lovers!
    • Guests ages 7–15 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
    • Guests under seven years of age are not permitted.

  • WHAT: 

    • A 20-minute encounter with Cayenne the Linnaeus’s Two-Toed Sloth! Get an up-close look at one of the world’s slowest animals, meet the professionals who care for Cayenne and learn how you can help protect Sloths from extinction. You may even have the chance to feed Cayenne a snack if she chooses to participate!
    • This Encounter does not include the opportunity to touch or hold a Sloth.
    • Limited to five guests per Encounter.
    • Participants must be able to traverse uneven substrate and a two-inch step.
    • This Encounter may require standing, reaching or crouching.
    • General admission to the Park, which is not included, is required to participate in this Encounter. Click here to purchase general admission.
    • An Encounter ticket is required for each participant, including those who wish to take pictures.
    • Guests must wear closed-toe shoes to participate in this Encounter.

  • WHEN:

    • Encounters take place several times each day between July 11 and October 6.
    • We recommend booking your Encounter in advance online. Encounters may be booked at the Park on the day of your visit if space remains.
    • Please arrive at the Safari Gift Shop no later than your start time to ensure the Encounter begins on time.

  • WHERE:

    • In the Walk-Thru Safari at African Safari Wildlife Park in Port Clinton, Ohio! Click here for directions.
    • The Sloth habitat is a warm, humid environment. Please prepare for your experience accordingly.

  • HOW TO BOOK YOUR EXPERIENCE:

    1. Book below by first selecting how many guests will be in your party, then select “choose dates.”
    2. Select which day and timeslot you want to have your Encounter.
    3. Fill out your contact information (purchaser information) and purchase your Encounter tickets!
