We’re THE Ohio Safari Park, a drive-thru and walk-thru safari located in Port Clinton, just minutes from Cedar Point. Drive your own car past hundreds of animals from around the world, then park and walk through for even more encounters, including Capybaras, Kangaroos, Gibbons, and Porcupines.

From feeding Cayenne the sloth to getting up close in the Safari Secrets Giraffe Barn, our Animal Encounters put you closer to the action than the drive or walk-thru alone. Book an Animal Encounter to add one to your visit.

One ticket gets you unlimited trips through the Drive-Thru, plus full access to the Walk-Thru Safari. Want to hand-feed a giraffe or a budgie along the way? Encounters like that are available for a little extra. For a full breakdown of what’s included, visit our FAQ page.

Plan to spend the whole day if you can, most guests do. The Drive-Thru Safari is yours to explore as many times as you’d like, and no two trips through look the same. Animals shift in and out of view throughout the day, so a second or third pass might turn up a keeper interaction, a feeding you missed the first time, or even a newborn animal making its first appearance. Bring your camera. Something new is always happening at THE Ohio Safari Park.

Close enough to make it an easy add-on to your Cedar Point trip. We’re a popular stop for families spending the day in the Lake Erie shores and islands region, so you can plan both in one visit.

We had an amazing time at the Safari Drive-Through and Walking Tour! We visited with my husband and our son, and we all loved it. The drive-through experience was so much fun, and it was exciting to see the animals up close. The walking tour was well organized and gave us even more opportunities to learn about and enjoy the animals.
